New commander assumes 6th ID post in Central Mindanao

From the Philippine Star (Nov7): New commander assumes 6th ID post in Central Mindanao

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao - Major Gen. Ceasar Ronnie Ordoyo assumed Wednesday as the new commander of Army’s 6th Infantry Division, promising to continue the unit’s peace programs that resulted in a “zero” encounter between the Army and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front in Central Mindanao in the past 15 months. Ordoyo, who graduated from the Philippine Military Academy in 1980, said he would emulate the examples of the 6th ID’s immediate former commanders, now Lt. Gen. Anthony Alcantara and Major Gen. Rey Ardo.... Ardo’s turnover of the 6th ID to Ordoyo was officiated by the commanding general of the Philippine Army, Lt. Gen. Emmanuel Bautista, and witnessed by local officials led by the acting governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Mujiv Hataman, and North Cotabato Gov. Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza....
