From Panay News (Feb 21, 2023): Security forces, stakeholders collaborate for successful outreach program
A recent community outreach in Lambunao, Iloilo by the Philippine Army, Philippine National Police and stakeholders offered free dental check-up and tooth extraction; medical consultation; haircut; and circumcision. Food packs were also distributed.
ILOILO – The 82nd Infantry (Bantay Laya) Battalion under the operational control of the 301st Infantry (Bayanihan) Brigade of the Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division participated in a Community Outreach program initiated by the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RMFB6) in partnership with the local government unit (LGU) of Lambunao, Iloilo; Team Hunters Peacemaker; and other stakeholders held at Jayobo Farm School in Lambunao town on Feb. 19, 2023.
As provided for in Executive Order 70 or the whole-of-nation approach, the security forces together with the LGU and other partner stakeholders converged to facilitate the delivery of basic government services to ELCAC (End Local Communist Armed Conflict) priority barangays in Panay Island.

The grassroots communities in the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantage Areas (GIDA) of Barangay Joyobo, Lambunao, Iloilo benefited from this program and were able to avail themselves of the necessary medical and dental services made possible by volunteer doctors and medical personnel who attended to their needs.
During the said activity, a total of 112 villagers benefited from a free dental check-up, and tooth extraction; 30 of them availed themselves of free medical consultation; 50 beneficiaries enjoyed free haircut services; 95 children were circumcised; and 100 indigents received food packs from the different partner stakeholders.
The said activity was part of the national government’s thrust in ending the local communist armed conflict by addressing the root causes of insurgency in far-flung barangays in the unit’s area of operation./PN
