From the Visayan Daily Star (Aug 28, 2019): 302nd IB has new commander
The Army’s 302nd Infantry Brigade stationed in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, has a new commander.
Col. Noel Baluyan, a member of the Philippine Military Acvademy Class 1990, took over the command of the 302nd Infantry Brigade from Brig. Gen. Ignacio Madriaga yesterday.
Madriaga, who had served as 302nd Infantry Brigade commander for one year and eight months, has been designated as chief of the AFP Office of the Strategic Studies and Strategy Management.
Before his new position, Baluyan served as deputy commander of the 302nd Infantry Brigade and Task Group Cebu chief.
Baluyan supervises three Army battalions stationed in the southeastern portion of Negros island and in Bohol, as commander of the 302nd Infantry Brigade.*
