CAMP GERONA, Murcia, Negros Occidental – The 303rd Infantry Brigade, 3ID, Philippine Army under the leadership of Brigadier General Inocencio Pasaporte condemns the atrocious attack of the CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNTs) against a member of the CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) in Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental on September 01, 2021 exactly 7:00 in the evening.

CAA Paderna, 51 years of age, married and a resident of Brgy Pinocauan, Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental and assigned at Maglahos Patrol Base as member of CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) under 62nd Infantry Battalion. He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds when he was shot by MOL ten (10) lawless armed elements believed to be members of the Communists Terrorist Groups (CTGs) of the Central Negros Front 1, (CN1) in Sitio Basyao Brgy. Pinucauan, Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental.

Pieces of evidence recovered in the crime scene were the following: three (3) pcs used M16 rifle ammunitions, 5 pcs used Cal.45 pistol ammo, 1 pc Cal.45 cartridge and 1 pc Cal. 5.56mm slug.

Brigadier General Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Brigade Commander said, “This inhumane act of the CPP-NPA Terrorists must be condemned to full extent. It is a desperate move to kill innocent civilians just to show that their senseless organization is not in continuing defeat in Negros.”

BGen Pasaporte further said, “We pity those Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members whose spiritual and moral values have been destroyed by a senseless armed struggle and resort to this kind of violence.”

“Your Army in Negros extends our deepest sympathy to the family, friends and loved ones of CAA Paderna who are currently grieving for their loss this difficult time of COVID-19”, BGen Pasaporte added.

Meanwhile, your Army, together with PNP, will assist the family in filing charges against the perpetrators and will urge the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) and other human rights advocacy groups such as Karapatan to investigate the murder of CAA Paderna

BGen Pasaporte also called on the CPP-NPA Terrorists to lay down their arms, abandon the armed struggle and join the mainstream society for the attainment of just and lasting peace.
