THE DAVAO de Oro Provincial Police Office arrested a former communist terrorist group (CTG) member on May 24 in Nabunturan.

Police identified him as alias Ka Papse, 65, from Igangon, San Isidro, Davao del Norte.



Accordingly, Papse was charged with robbery with violence or intimidation of a person with arson (warrant issued by Hon. Cresenciana DC Cruz of RTC Branch 3, Nabunturan). No bail bond was recommended for the crime.

Major Catherine Dela Rey, PRO XI spokesperson, highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office (DDOPPO) and the Nabunturan Municipal Police Station in apprehending the suspect.

PRO XI commended the Nabunturan Municipal Police Station for their work in suppressing former CTG members involved in criminal activities.

“This arrest demonstrates the ongoing efforts to capture wanted criminals and former CTG members to ensure community safety,” the statement said.
