EASTMINCOM: Bodies of 2 NPA rebels retrieved from encounter site in Davao Oriental

For identification: Cadavers of the two NPAs in a public identification after the troops of 67th IB retrieved it from the encounter site and turned them over to the Local Government of Baganga, Davao Oriental to allow their family to claim and render decent burial.

The two NPAs were killed during an encounter between the elements of 67th Infantry Battalion under Ltc. Dema-ala, and undetermine number of NPAs in KM22, So. San Francisco, Brgy. Campawan, Baganga, Davao Oriental on April 16, 2020.

The encounter transpired while the troops are conducting security operations in preparation for the DSWD and LGU Social Amelioration Program implementation in the said area.
