From the Manila Times (Aug 27): ASG leader nabbed in Tawi-Tawi operations
Units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have successfully arrested a Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) leader wanted for kidnapping and homicide cases in Malaysia during operations in Barangay Sanga-Sanga, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi Tuesday morning. The operation took place 10 a.m.
The arrested suspect was identified as Mobin Hailil alias “Kahumbo”.
Director Getulio S. Napenas, Special Action Front commander, said Hailil was nabbed by the joint members of 5th Special Action Battalion (5SAB), Special Action Force, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) -9, Tawi-Tawi Police Provincial Office and Air Force Intelligence Unit.
Confiscated from his possession were one caliber .45 Colt pistol loaded with six rounds of ammunition and one Mark 2 grenade.
Hailil was involved in kidnapping and killings in Mabbul Island, Malaysia.
