A FORMER New People’s Army commander was arrested for murder in Maragusan, Davao de Oro, on April 26.

Police Regional Office XI director Brig Gen Alden Delvo identified him as Francisco Saramosing, who used to lead Guerilla Front 27 of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee (SMRC).

Delvo said Saramosing was tagged as the Top 4 most wanted person at the regional level with a warrant of arrest with Criminal for five counts of murder and seven counts of attempted murder.

Presiding Judge Cresenciana Cruz of RTC, Branch 3, 11th Judicial Region, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, issued the arrest warrant, dated March 16, 2023.

He was arrested by the joint operatives of the Maragusan Police Station together with the Davao de Oro Criminal Investigation and Detection Group; Provincial Intelligence Unit, Davao de Oro; 1st Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company; 1101st Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 11; and Revitalized Pulis Sa Barangay Cluster 5.
