CIIPSO is part of the tightening the security and preventive measure for the possible extortion in the flagship projects of the government by the NPA and other organized crime groups.
The Local Government Unit of Dingalan hosted the CIIPSO meeting headed by Mayor Shierwin H. Taay and the 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army under the leadership of LTC REANDREW P RUBIO INF (GSC) PA.
The activity was attended by Project Engineers from different companies, PNP, SB members headed by Vice Mayor Edgardo Galvez and local officials held at Municipal Hall of Dingalan, Aurora.
The CIIPSO Pre-Organizational Meeting aims to prevent the extortion, and violent atrocities of NPA.
LTC RUBIO said that the involvement of LGU in addressing NPA extortion activity is very much important.
“This NPA extortion work is not just the responsibility of the government security forces but it is everybody’s concern. And I would like to thank and commend LGU Dingalan headed by Mayor Taay for spearheading the CIIPSO Meeting which was attended by Project Engineers from different construction companies in Dingalan, Aurora. This is part of our effort in addressing the NPA extortion works and prevent the latter from conducting harassment, threat, intimidation and extortion against private companies in the area,” LTC RUBIO said.
He added that possible offensive attacks by the enemies can be expected by construction companies, especially while the province is under the modified general community quarantine (GCQ).
“Construction businesses could be prone to extortion activities or attacks by the rebels. CIIPSO is a mechanism created to bridge and strengthen the relationship between government troops and construction-related companies,” LTC RUBIO ended.
