BALER, Aurora-In order to build strong bond with media partners, the 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion, Philippine Army under the leadership of LTC REANDREW P RUBIO INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer holds the “2nd Kapehan sa Sinagtala” at 91IB Headquarters, Barangay Calabuanan in this capital town of Aurora on Saturday (August 1, 2020).

Rubio spearheaded the activity aiming to robust relations, strong ties, and to develop ideas with fruitful results in line with the battalion stakeholders engagement to help the people of Aurora.

The Kaugnay Media Defense Corps Inc. (KMDCI) Aurora Chapter headed by Mr. Rey Fernando of Spirit FM participated in the said activity and lined up future programs and projects in partnership with the 91st IB.

As pro-progress, imbibed with pro-development plan and in support to anti-terror law, Fernando said that the KMDCI Aurora chapter is exerting fullest effort to join the army’s Sinagtala battalion in the lasting peace and development in the whole province.

Discussed during the meeting were IP’s and FR’s scholarship program, DENR’s adopt a mountain protection program, news coverage of KMDCI representative during the major activity of 91st IB, KMDCI manifesto supporting anti-terror law, and livelihood for FRs.

RUBIO lauded the initiatives and plans of the media in this province.

“The 91st IB and our stakeholders in this province are always ready to assist and help you in that noble endeavor towards peace and development. I am also encouraging others to bring their concerns to our government so that the government could address their needs,” he said, explaining that there is a need for the civilians to take part because the issues to end local communist armed conflict is more on community.
