Posted to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front Website (Jan 27): MILF- MNLF form joint local fact finding team in North Cotabato
In a joint meeting held at Barangay Pebpoluan, Carmen, North Cotabato on January 22, 2018, some leaders of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) formally organized a joint local fact-finding team.
Present during the meeting were Datu Kineg Inalang, Chairman, MILF Kapalawan Provincial Committee (KPC); Datu Sambuto Pedtamanan, Chairman, MILF North Cotabato Provincial Committee (NCPC); Datu Cutin Idtog, Chairman, MNLF Sebangan Kutawato State Revolutionary Committee (SKSRC), and Datu Fernandez Aliudin, Chairman, MNLF Bukidnon State Revolutionary Committee (BSRC).
Datu Mentukan Zunsunga, Chairman, MNLF Upper Sebangan Kutawato State Revolutionary Committee (USKSRC) was not able to attend the meeting.
The MNLF-MILF Joint Local Ad Hoc Fact-Finding Team is composed of Datu Masla Mantawil as Chairman and the members are: Mike Alamada, Ali Ambatog, Alison Mamintal, Anwar Salem, Atog Kusain, Datu Dimas Ambel, Datu Haron Mantawil, Datu Salipada Mangacop, Edris Sawa, Hajji Abdulaziz Macalipat, Datu Jack Manampan, Moctar Comatog, Norha H. Abdulrahman, Orlando Macaalay, Unson Pedtamanan, Ustaz Abdurrahim Cua and Udtaz Kanapia Balah.
Taher Guiambangan Solaiman is the secretary.
The tasks and responsibilities of the Fact-Finding Team are to investigate the alleged still unresolved killing incidents in some barangays of the Municipalities of Carmen, Kabacan and Matalam in North Cotabato and determine all the facts and circumstances surrounding them; to exercise the powers of an investigative body, including the power to summon witnesses, administer oath, take testimony or evidence relevant to the investigation, and to submit their findings and recommendations within a period of sixty days to the chairmen of the KPC, NCPC, SKSRC, BSRC and USBKSRC, in a joint meeting for their proper disposition.
