From the Philippine Information Agency (Nov 17): Philippine Army’s 43rd Infantry Battalion orients students on AFP programs and thrusts
Initiated by 43rd Infantry (We Search) Battalion, 8th Infantry (Stormtroopers) Division, Philippine Army, “Lakbay Kapayapaan Information Patrol (LAKIP) reached Lope de Vega National High School, Lope de Vega, Northern Samar recently.
This initiative aimed at educating students on the current programs of the Armed Forces of the Philippines specifically on Internal Peace and Security Plan (IPSP) Bayanihan, Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP), Army Transformation Roadmap, among others.
The students were also informed on the qualifications and requirements on how to apply and enrol in the Philippine Military Academy, Officer Candidate Course, Officer Preparatory Course and Candidate Soldier Course, by 2Lt Prince Dominic L Calmada, Acting Civil Military Operation (CMO) Officer.
Speaking before more than a thousand senior and junior high school students, Lt. Col. Reymondo A Delgado, Acting Commanding Officer, 43rd IB said that the LAKIP is a strategy in keeping the youth well informed and one of the units’ efforts to counter the insurgency problem in the area.
As a recipient, Dr. Noralyn Casco, Office-In-Charge of Lope de Vega National High School expressed gladness and gratitude to the 43rd IB for imparting to the students the programs of AFP and by choosing the school for the event.
