CAMP MELCHOR DELAR CRUZ, Gamu, Isabela -- At
least 119 of the original 123 candidate soldiers from the 5th Infantry
Division, Philippine Army (5ID, PA) are set to graduate on March 16 after
finishing the rigid training.
Maj. Gen. General Lysander Suerte, 5ID Commanding Officer,
will serve as keynote speaker during the scheduled graduation rites.
Suerte said the candidate soldiers have undergone
Jungle-Warfare-Mountain-Operations (JWMOC) training at Division Training School
of the 5th Infantry Division.
These candidate soldier graduates will be joined by their
relatives during the graduation rites.
Candidate soldier Charliemagne R. Paguyo of Gamu, Isabela
topped the graduating class, garnering an average grade of 93.67 percent
followed by Edgar C. Gumabon of Echague, Isabela with 93.13 percent and Roman
D. Amoga of Pinukpok, Kalinga as Top 3 with an average score of 92.98 percent.
On October 12, 2015, the candidate soldiers were received by
the Army division’s training school and after several months of training, they
successfully finished it.
Suerte said the candidate soldiers will have the rank of
Private and will soon be deployed in various infantry battalions of the Army
division.
