From ABS-CBN (Sep 2): Suspected NPA rebels behind bomb factory charged
BUKIDNON - Fifteen suspected New People's Army fighters are facing charges for maintaining an alleged bomb factory in Kitaotao, Bukidnon.
Nenita Maasin and Ellen Manlibaas were among those who were arrested last week in Barangay White Kulaman in Kitaotao. The two are believed to be NPA rebels who are harassing residents.
Also recovered from them were subversive documents, explosives and firearms.
Authorities also discovered a bomb factory in the area, as well as a training facility with medical kits, radios, uniforms and other paraphernalia.
The suspects were charged with rebellion, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and illegal possession of explosives.
They are temporarily detained at Bukidnon Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Malaybalay City while their trial is ongoing.
