annexes in next round of talks with MILF --OPAPP
The Government of the Philippines (GPH) peace panel for talks with the Moro
Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) has been conducting preparatory work on drafting
the annexes of the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro that will form part of
their agenda on the next round of talks in Kuala Lumpur next month, Presidential
Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Quintos Deles said.
“Both parties, through their Technical Working Groups (TWGs), expect to
complete at least three annexes on power-sharing, wealth-sharing, and
normalization by the end of the year,” Deles said.
The peace adviser detailed that as part of the preparations, initial
discussions of the government delegation with the human development and poverty
alleviation cluster were held recently. In addition, an ad hoc interagency
meeting on normalization will be held Monday....
