The Army's 10th Infantry Division clarified Friday night that it did not relieve the battalion commander of the 27th Infantry Battalion over the alleged encounter between soldiers and armed men in Davao del Sur that killed a B'laan woman and her two children, who were both minors.
“There was no truth that Col. Alexis Noel Bravo was relieved by Gen. Bautista," Lt. Col. Lyndon Paniza, 10th ID spokesman, said in a statement sent to media on Friday. Gen. Bautista is the Army general, Lt. Gen. Emmanuel Bautista. Paniza said that Bravo and his men "were only called to report to 10th ID commander Gen. Ariel Bernardo." “They are now in (the) headquarters in Tuburan (Mawab, Compostella Valley Province) to answer some questions from the board of inquiry," he said....
